2015 Fall: Chinese and Chinese Culture

1. Chinese and Chinese Culture is compulsory to all international students, no matter how good he/she know about Chinese/Chinese Culture.
2. Chinese Language test: Usually on Tuesday night of first week, Graduate School will hold a “Chinese Language test”, the result will divide all international students  to “preliminary” or “intermediate” level Chinese course. Check email of notice for exact time and location for test. Questions like “exact time and location of Chinese and Chinese Culture”, “which level of class students should go to” would be answered after Chinese Language Test result come out. Usually on 2nd week of semester.
3. Chinese Language course: The course starts from 3rd week, lasts for 2 hours per week, delivered in English. Students who has HSK 4, or passed “Chinese Language test” could avoid taking classes, but he/she still need to put the course in the study plan. Students could choose Xuhui campus or Minhang Campus.
4. Chinese Culture course:  The course starts from 3rd week, lasts for 2 hours per week, delivered in either in English or Chinese. Students can choose the language spoken in class considering their proficiency in Chinese language.
