Research Field

He was currently interested in electric machines and their control, wind power generating system of smart-grid, micro-magnetics, computation of electro-magnetic fields.

Education

He received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, Italy, in 2010. He received the Bachelor and the Master degree in Electric Machinery from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, in 1987 and 1990 respectively.

Work experience

Since 1990, he has been working as an assistant professor, lecturer and associate professor in Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China. From June to September in 2001, he was appointed joining research group at Pan Asia Automobile Technical Center, Shanghai, China, where he provided technical support for research and development of the first electric vehicle. From July to September in 2002, he visited La Trobe University, Bendigo, Australia, where he studied pedagogies of bilingual education.

Research

He joined the 863 sub-project--PM motor driving system of electric vehicle in 2002. He took charge of military project—research on remanence of DC machines for marine vessel in 2004, series product design of large propulsion linear permanent magnet synchronous machine (LPMSM).
