Prof. Song’s research interests include video coding, signal processing and computer vision. He has about 100 publications with Google Citations 920+, 27 issued patents, and 18 standards technical proposals in field of video coding and image processing. He has been serving as an associate editor of Springer Journal Multidimensional Systems and Signal Processing (MSSP, IF=1.436) since 2012. He is a technical committee member of IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CAS) Visual Signal Processing and Communications (VSPC). He has served as a special session chair of 2017 International Conference on Visual Communication & Image Processing (VCIP), TPC chair of 2016 International Symposium on Information Technology Convergence(ISITC), a TPC track chair of 2016 IEEE Asia Pacific Conference on Circuits and Systems(APCCAS), a session chair of 2015 IEEE Workshop on Signal Processing Systems (SiPS), publicity chair of 2013 IEEE International Conference on Multimedia and Expo (ICME), a session chair for 2013 International Conference on Information, Communications and Signal Processing (ICICS) and 2010 IEEE International Symposium on Broadband Multimedia Systems and Broadcasting (BMSB). He has served technical or review committee for many prestigious international conferences, like ISCAS, VCIP, ICME, ACCV, etc. He is a member of IEEE, ACM, SMPTE, CCF (China Computer Federation) and CIE (Chinese Institute of Electronics).Further information can be found at his webpage:
