3.         项目及承办院系简介(Introduction of the Program and Organizer)

从基本概念入手，介绍智能处理技术针对图像处理和不同数据类型处理的理论和算法，包括：数据表示、数据去噪、图像重建、数据融合，以及典型应用（数据挖掘、图像影像分析）。

电子信息学院上海交通大学规模最大的学院之一，也是全国高校规模最大的同类学院之一。学院建设7个一级学科：电气工程、控制科学与工程、计算机科学与技术、软件工程、信息与通信工程、电子科学与技术和仪器科学与技术，为学科交叉提供了广阔的平台，学院师资力量雄厚。

From the basic concept, the program introduces theory and algorithms about intelligent processing technology for image processing and different types of data, including data representation, data denoising, image reconstruction, data fusion, and typical applications (data mining, image analysis).

SEIEE is now the largest school in SJTU, and one of the largest among all Chinese universities of similar kinds. Built upon an interdisciplinary platform, SEIEE has considerable expertise and international recognition in 7 first-tier disciplines, including Electrical Engineering, Electronic Science and Technology, Information and Communication Engineering, Control Science and Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, Software Engineering, and Instrument Science and Technology.

4.         办学目标定位及特色(Orientation and Characteristic)

当今信息爆炸时代，如何智能处理丰富的各类信息数据成为热门和应用前景广阔的技术。人工智能、智能机器人、深度学习、物联网等热门技术均与智能信息处理技术密切相关。信息数据包括： 文本、语音、图像， “智能信息处理”目的是给一个全面介绍了各种信息数据类型和它们的智能处理技术,以提高学生实际解决问题能力，团队合作精神为目标来考核学生。采用全英文教学。

With the explosive growth of the information, the technologies of processing large scale data have been in the spotlight and widely used in artificial intelligence, intelligent robot, deep learning, the Internet of things, and so on. Information data contains text, voice, image and others. The Summer School of “Intelligent Information Processing” is aimed at introducing different information data and information processing, which can improve the problem-solving ability of students. The course will teach in English and the final grades are determined by team work.

5.         师资力量及其他办学条件(Teachers and School Condition)

第一主讲人：法国国家科学研究中心(CNRS)终身研究员、法国国立应用科学学院教授朱跃敏。2010年和2014年两次获得法国国家杰出科研奖，2016年1月获法国骑士勋章。

第二主讲人：上海交大图像处理与模式识别研究所所长，杨杰教授，德国计算机科学博士。全国优博博士论文指导老师。出版5本专著和300多篇SCI检索论文。获得6项省部级成果奖。

杨杰教授领导的实验室博士生可以参与团队项目科研实践的指导。

The first speaker: French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) lifelong researcher, the French National Institute of Applied Sciences Professor Yue-min Zhu. He obtained the French National Outstanding Scientific Research Award in 2010 and 2014, and the French Knight Medal in January 2016.

The second speaker: Professor Jie Yang, director of Shanghai Jiao Tong University Image Processing and Pattern Recognition Institute, computer science doctorate in Germany, National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Instructor. He has published 5 monographs and more than 300 SCI papers, and obtain six provincial and ministerial level achievement award.

PhD students of Professor Jie Yang will participate the projects and guide researches.
