The afternoon of Nov 14th, SEIEE Party Secretary Su Yuezeng led a five-person delegation including Zhao Hui, the director of Department of Instrument Science and Engineering and Yuan Yibao, the member of national Thousand Talent Plan to visit Department of Precision Instrument of Tsinghua University. Both sides held talks on the subject of discipline construction and evaluation, talent introduction, students employment, the reform of course system, personnel system and how to develop the discipline characteristic better. Director of Department of Precision Instrument You Zheng, Deputy Director Wang Xue, Liu Qiang, Tan Qiaofeng and Deputy Party Secretary Yang Jianzhong attended the meeting.

You Zheng introduced the recent conditions on organizational structure, discipline construction, the construction of curriculum system, scientific research of key discipline, talent cultivation in School of Mechanical and Department of Precision Instrument. SEIEE Party Secretary Su Yuezeng and Department Director Zhao Hui introduced the overall situation of SEIEE and Department of Instrument Science and Engineering. According to the development status of Department of precision instrument Tsinghua University in the past, You Zheng gave good advice on the problems in discipline construction faced by Department of Instrument Science and Engineering, so that participants benefited a lot. After the meeting, the delegation visited the Intelligent Microsystem Lab and Laser and Photonic Technology Lab.

In November 15th, SEIEE Party Secretary Su Yuezeng led the delegation to visit School of Precision Instrument Tianjin University. Both sides held talks on discipline construction and evaluation, teaching, scientific research and other issues. The participants were Dean of School of Precision Instrument Zeng Zhoumo, Party Secretary Wang Hailong, Deputy Director of National Key Laboratory of precision measurement technology and instruments Qu Xinghua and Fu Xing, director of the Department of Precision Instrument Duan Fajie. Zeng Zhoumo introduced the overall and current situation of School of Precision Instrument Tianjin University, SEIEE Party Secretary Su Yuezeng and Professor Zhao Hui introduced the status of SEIEE and Department of Instrument Science and Engineering, both sides had a fully discussion for the developing direction of the displine, research funding, students cultivation and how to develop the discipline construction better. Party Secretary Su Yuezeng invited School of Precision Instrument Tianjin University visited SEIEE at the appropriate time, for a further communication and understanding.

The visit made us fully understand the discipline characteristics, and aware of the gap with other universities, which provide a way of thinking for the disciplinary construction in the future.
