SEIEE Faculty Receives Okawa Foundation Research Grant

This past March, the prestigious Okawa Foundation Research Grant awarding ceremony was recently held in Tokyo, Japan, where Li Xiaochun, associate professor of SEIEE, received the grant. Mao Junfa, president of SEIEE, and Li Xiaochun attended the event together with the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Japan, who shared a message of congratulations. The Okawa Foundation Research Grant is a public welfare fund authenticated by the Japanese government which aims to promote academic development, cultural exchange of global information, and communication fields. It grants more than 30 rewards to scholars from countries like Japan, China, America and South Korea annually, wherein it grants 1 reward to Peking University, Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, respectively. Targeting at power distribution networks in large scale and high speed circuits, Li Xiaochun's research topic, research on modeling and design of power distribution network (PDN), combined three dimensional full-wave electromagnetic analysis with partial element equivalent circuit, and proposed accordingly the theory and method for optimization design and analysis based on the electron band-gap structure.
