Research Field

Bio-mimetic robotics, intelligent locomotion, and control.

Education

He got his bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from China University of Mining Technology in 2000 and his master degree in Mechantronics from the same university in 2003. And then he obtained his Ph. D. degre e in Instrument Science and Technology from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2006.

Work experience

From December 2006 to December 2009, he was a lecturer in Department of Instrument of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Since January 2010, He is an associate professor in the same department. From July 2009 to July 2011, he was a JSPS Postdoctor in Ritsumeikan University of Japan. Now, he from July 2009.

Research

Bio-mimetic robotics aims to resolve the basic question about locomotion principle of snake or earthworm with the soft flexible biology body. Its application includes the robotic endoscope for human gastro-intestine and the rescue tasks in the disaster environment
