After eight rounds’ fierce group and knock-out matches, SEIEE team defeated the team from School of Ship Building and Marine Engineering in the final to take the crown of the just-ended 2011 First SJTU Badminton Team Competition.

Altogether 35 teams from different schools, departments and institutions entered the competition. Each game consists of three rounds of match-ups in the order of mixed doubles, men's doubles and mixed doubles. The rules follow the latest "21 points" system for the international badminton competition, in which one around decides the game. Despite the busy work in teaching and researching, players from SEIEE participated in the competition with great passion and fighted for the team honor. In the matches, they not only showed their style and level, strengthen their friendship, but meanwhile carried forwards the Olympic spirit of faster, higher, stronger and fair competition, instantiating the mental outlook of SEIEEers.
