SEIEE held the inauguration of the Graduate Class Council at the SEIEE Building last March 18, 2014.  Deputy Secretary of the Party Yang Yifan, Vice President of SEIEE Tai Nengling, Director of Human Resources and International Affairs Huang Xiaohong, Secretary of Student Party Hu Yanli, Secretary of Youth League Committee Song Xuming, Alumni Contact Person Tian Lin together with 2014 batch members of the Council attended the event.

 

 

In the beginning of the program, each member of the Council introduced themselves and expressed their understanding of the position they hold. Though they may have different jobs, they all share the same mission of bridging the gap between students and school in order to make progress together.

 

Meanwhile, Yang Yifan gave a summary of Batch 2014’s graduate profile including employment rate, job-hunt intentions and list of employer-companies.

 

 

Afterwards, Long Xianzhong and Huang Ying, on behalf of all other members, recalled their student life at Jiao Tong University and expressed gratitude to their alma mater. Others also shared similar sentiments. Through the Alumni Association, former graduates can connect with each other which can surely help the school reach a promising future.

 

 

Tai Nengling closed the meeting by giving a speech that expressed his hope for all members. He stated that with the Council’s help, together they could accomplish their mission, make full use of their pool of alumni resources and work as a link between the alumni and the school. He also stressed the importance of “mutual support and development” between all members of the council.
